Board of Trustees Highlights

Below is a summary of the decisions made by the AAMA Board of Trustees at the June 6-7, 2008 meeting.

• Recognized re-chartering of Oklahoma State Society.
  
  
• Approved appointments for the 2010 Annual Conference for chair, vice chair, and education chairs.
  
  
• Approved Indianapolis as the site of the 2011 Annual Conference.
  
  
• Approved appointments for the 2011 Annual Conference for chair, vice chair, and education chair.
  
  
• Renamed the Role Delineation Study as the Occupational Analysis of the CMA (AAMA).
  
  
• Approved the General Fund Budget for the 2008-2009 Fiscal Year.
  
  
• Authorized the President, Vice President, and Speaker of the House to attend the exhibit at the 2008 annual meeting of PAHCOM, as representatives of AAMA.
  
  
• Authorized the Executive Director to investigate the possibility of AAMA affiliating with the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
  
  
• Authorized the shortening of the AAMA Annual Conference by one day, effective when feasible.
  
  
• Awarded Maxine Williams Scholarships to six recipients.
